What is a credit report?

A credit report is something requested by a bank or other entity to check a person’s history on repaying debts and other payments. It is a combination of a person’s history on credit card payments, loan payments, mortgage payments, and the total available debt. The more late payments or defaults a person has, the lower the score is likely to be.
